Working at height is one of the biggest causes of fatalities and major injuries at work in the UK.

Who Should Attend?

Working at Height training should be given to any employee or contractor who is be required to carry out work at height. This training can count towards your CPD.

Training Method

We use an audio and visual presentation, with group activities and it concludes with a written assessment.

Location

Working at Height training can be delivered to your site or you can attend one of our half-day friendly Working at Height open training courses in Retford, Nottinghamshire.

Course Content

Working at height remains one of the biggest causes of fatalities and major injuries. Common cases include falls from ladders and through fragile surfaces. ‘Work at height’ means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury (for example a fall through a fragile roof).
Working at Height training is designed for anyone who may work at any height in their workplace and covers the following:
  • Checking ladders and step ladders
  • Limitations of use
  • Relevant legislation
  • Safe access
  • Safe use and operations
  • Securing a ladder
  • The main hazards of working at heights
